Vaisakh Somanath

 

 

 

Vaisakh Somanath is a singer-songwriter from Tamil Nadu, now based in Kochi. He makes soulful tunes out of simple but thoughtful lyrics. He writes songs in multiple languages with almost always a philosophical bent in his songwriting style. He uses his knowledge in carnatic music to combine Indian elements of music with other genres like blues, folk, funk, soul, jazz and electronic music. Currently he is working on his upcoming album titled 'Muppathimoonnu'.
