Incipit is a Contemporary Rock band from Dimapur (Nagaland), formed in October 2009. Their lyrics are mostly based on themes which lean mostly to equality and human-rights, with a touch of relationships between mankind. The band in 2010 won the 'Lets Rock
Kohima' rock contest and was also the runner’s-up at the Hornbill
National Rock Contest 2010 and later in 2011 won the much coveted title
of 'Rock Rules' Guwahati. The members also won many individual awards
from various contests. Incipit also performed as the in-house band for
the 'Naga Orpheous Hunt' (formerly known as Naga Idol) for three
consecutive years (2010-2012).
