Indian Ocean is a Contemporary Fusion Rock band from Delhi, formed in 1990. Indian Ocean is one of the biggest Indian indie acts and has played gigs around the country, and has toured internationally as well. Their unique sound of Contemporary Rock mixed with classical, jazz and fusion have earned them a cult following. The themes of their songs are sufism, enviornmentalism and mythology. Some music critics describe its music as 'Indo-rock fusion with jazz-spiced rhythms that integrates shlokas, sufism, environmentalism, mythology and revolution'.
