Paratra is an Electronic Rock band from Mumbai, formed in early 2012 by Akshat and Samron. The music style is fresh and energetic comprising an eclectic mix of global sounds and genres. The word 'Paratra' is Sanskrit for 'transcendental or spiritual journey to the next world' and this is ever present in the band's musical compositions. The heavy riffs of the guitar blend with the soothing raags of the sitar cumulating into a spellbinding, harmonious experience.
